Udit Narayan And Kumar Sanu Reunite For Suryaa Song 'Suniyo Zara'
Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu sing together for the first time in 21 years on a friendship song for Sunny Deol in Suryaa, with the full track due on Tuesday.
Udit Narayan and Kumar Sanu have recorded a duet again. "Suniyo Zara", the first single from Sunny Deol's crime thriller Suryaa: Ant Se Aarambh Tak, puts the two Bollywood music voices of the 1990s on one track, with Anupam Amod as the third singer.
The pairing was first reported by Variety India on Sunday. Their last song together, it said, was "Kahaan Ho Tum" from No Entry in 2005.
Who made it
RAAHEE, a composer from Pritam's JAM8 team, wrote the tune, and Priya Saraiya wrote the words. Both names are on the film's official teaser credits, which list JAM8 among the composers and Uttam Singh on the background score.
On screen it is a friendship song, picturised on Deol, Ravi Kishan and other members of the cast.
The Sunny Deol link
The two singers last did playback for Deol in 2002, on Karz: The Burden Of Truth. Zee Music Company holds the music, and a reunion like this lands with listeners who grew up on their film songs on cassette and radio.
