Diljit Dosanjh Delhi Concert: Police Clear Aura Show For 30 Oct
Permission for the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium concert was refused on Thursday and issued on Friday, after the organisers took a fresh safety plan to Delhi Police.

Diljit Dosanjh plays Delhi on 30 October after all. BookMyShow Live, which is producing his Aura India tour, said on Friday 23 October that police permission for the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium show had been "reconsidered and issued".
It took barely a day. On Thursday, Delhi Police said it had turned down the request. A letter dated 21 October from the Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) to the promoter cited "specific threat-related inputs", along with the force's security and law and order commitments during the festive season.
What the promoter said
By Friday the story had changed. "It is clarified that reports suggesting that the Diljit Dosanjh AURA India Tour concert in New Delhi on 30 October being cancelled are inaccurate," BookMyShow Live said in a statement. "Permission for the event had been temporarily withheld, not cancelled, and the two should not be confused."
The company said police had asked for additional safety, traffic and crowd-management measures because of the festive rush. It met officers, presented a detailed plan and promised full compliance. "On that basis, permission for the event has been reconsidered and issued," the statement said.
Second change in a month
This is the Delhi show's second wobble. It was first announced for 1 November and moved to 30 October earlier this month. Tickets bought for the original date remain valid, and buyers who cannot make the new one were offered a refund link on their registered mobile numbers.

Delhi opens the India leg of the Aura world tour, which follows Dosanjh's runs across North America, Europe and Australia. Indore follows on 15 November, then Ahmedabad on 21 November, Mumbai on 27 November, Bengaluru on 29 November and Lucknow on 5 December. A Chandigarh concert has been announced, but its date is still to come.
Thursday's refusal came eight days before the concert. BookMyShow remains the only ticketing partner for the tour.
Dosanjh confirms the date
Updated 24 October 2026, 12.15 pm IST. Dosanjh confirmed the date himself in an Instagram Live session late on Friday. "Ab milte hain 30 tareekh ko Delhi mein," he said (now see you in Delhi on the 30th). Police officials have since said the clearance came with conditions on the number of private security staff and on crowd management, which the organisers agreed to meet.
